Payment Plans:
Orthodontic treatment
is a lifetime investment that produces a beautiful smile,
a functional bite, and jaws that are properly aligned.
There are many options for making this investment affordable.
We can work out financial arrangements for your treatment
that will fit your financial situation. The first option,
which is used by most of our patients, involves an initial
fee of approximately one third of the total balance,
the remainder of which is divided into monthly payments
spread over the duration of treatment time with no financing
fees. We are happy to work with you to make the initial
and monthly fees affordable. A second option is to
have the treatment fee divided into equal monthly payments
with no large initial fee. Our office is glad to discuss
other payment options as well.
Some people prefer to pay in full at the beginning of
Phase II or Comprehensive treatment and receive a 6% administrative
adjustment deducted from the total fee if paid in cash.
A 3% administrative adjustment will be deducted from the
total fee if paid with a credit card. This option can also
offer a significant tax advantage at tax time.
Financing is available through CapitalOne Health Care Finance. More information on CapitalOne finance plans is available here.
Over the years we have also offered individuals information
about obtaining a loan such as ‘Loan by Phone’ offered
by Wells Fargo Bank. There are also national programs,
including Orthodontic Fee Plan, which offer flexible payment
terms, no down payment and a significant tax advantage.
Finally, our office accepts Visa and MasterCard for your
convenience.
Insurance Information:
We will provide you with special
orthodontic claim forms for you to submit to insurance
each time you pay Dr. Symonds. We do not directly bill
your insurance company. However, we will help you find
out from your insurance company what orthodontic coverage
you may have and will give you all the information you
need to ensure you get all of the insurance money due
you. If you need pre-authorization before treatment starts,
we will be glad to provide one for you to send to your
insurance carrier.
Unlike general dental care, orthodontics is long-term
treatment. Reimbursement from your insurance company will
also be long-term. Their reimbursement will not always
coincide with your monthly payments to our office. Therefore,
you must be prepared to make all payments directly to our
office. Any reimbursements from your insurance company
are paid directly to you.
