Ashly is one of our orthodontic assistants. She is also attending the University of Alaska Anchorage pursuing a career as a dental hygienist.

When not busy with school or at work, she enjoys reading, writing, shopping, traveling, fishing and being outdoors in the sun.

Danette, our New Patient Coordinator, was born and raised in Southern California.

She moved to Alaska in 1994 and has been working for Dr. Poling and Dr. Jeff Symonds since 1998. Danette enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Jeannine is one of our orthodontic assistants. She is a graduate of the University of Alaska’s Dental Assisting Program and is currently pursuing a degree in Dental Hygiene.

She has worked for Dr. Poling and Dr. Jeff Symonds since 2000. She was born in the Panama Canal Zone and moved to Alaska in 1983.

She enjoys spending time with the love of her life, her son Garrett. When she’s not tending to your teeth, you can find her serving up cheesy smiles at Pizza Man restaurant in Eagle River.

Lisa has been an orthodontic assistant for over ten years in Anchorage. She enjoys being a part of and creating beautiful smiles in a positive environment.

When she’s not in the office you can find her in the great outdoors hunting, fishing, motorcycling and exploring our beautiful snow-capped mountains.

Synette is our Administrative and Financial Coordinator. She began working at AOA in November of 2004 and is enjoying everyday spent at her new place of employment.

Synette, her husband Shane and their “wonderdog” Saba love just about any outdoor activity, from hiking, fishing, biking and skiing to swimming and scuba diving (of course traveling to faraway locations to experience new adventures too!)

Terri is a dental hygienist and lab technician extraordinaire. She was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Psychology and Dental Hygiene.

She has worked in the dental/orthodontic field for 23 years, the last 14 of which have been with Dr. Poling and Dr. Jeff Symonds. She and a few girlfriends came to Alaska in 1991 looking for adventure and hit the jackpot!

Terri enjoys fishing, painting, hiking, music, and the gorgeous scenery of Alaska. Still in search of adventure, she travels every chance she gets.
